Ministry
In August 2006, after a process lasting 18 months, I packed my bags and jetted off, bible in hand, to Portland, Oregon. Over those months God made it clear to me that He has a plan for my life and that part of His plan would involve me going to seminary to learn some new skills and build my character in a way that wouldn't be possible when surrounded with so many comforts. Now, I am part-way through a Masters in Divinity at Multnomah Biblical Seminary.
My passion is Jesus! I love to help others fall in love with Him. It excites me to talk to people about the Bible and see them exhibit a fresh love for God's Word, and from there to see it impact their lives and the lives of the people around them. In this respect, I feel a large part of my ministry over these next few years involves working with the students on campus, helping them to find the balance between studying the bible academically and loving it wholeheartedly!
I can't claim to have it all together, but I do know that God has placed in me a huge hunger for Him and His Word. It is my greatest pleasure to spend days on end reading my bible and to spend hours on my knees in prayer. It is my hope that this simple formula for a radical relationship with God will influence the people around me so that they will become more aware of God's leading in their lives, and thus be better equipped for the ministries He has prepared for their hands.
