Bio
Well this is the part I'm supposed to tell you all about me and about what I've done, but I don't think I'd do a very good job! Instead, I'd much rather you considered my blog as the place where you can learn about me, because you really find out what I'm like when you read about the things that impact me day-to-day!
For some standard info: My name is Scott Burns. I was born March 22nd 1984 in a town in Scotland known as Irvine. I lived there until Aug 14th 2006 when I gave up all that I knew and loved, to pursue a calling placed on me to go to Seminary in Portland.
Although I was brought up in church, I didn't really have a relationship with Jesus until I was 16. I committed my life to serving Him knowing that one day I would lead a church for Him. Since that time I have watched my faith grow as God moves throughout my life.
In 2005 during my final year at university studying a BSc in Maths I randomly met a guy who would change my life. Brain Ingraham became my mentor and left a simple scripture echoing in the back of my mind "follow me as I follow Christ". Paul penned those words, and now they are a reality to me. I follow Brian as he follows Christ! I have worked with him for 2 years establishing a church in Glasgow, and watching my life being transformed. My love for the Saviour rocketed. My passion for the Word exploded. My skills and abilities grew. And God called me to the next challenge... Seminary!
